— About this trip
Eze, Monaco
& Monte Carlo
This is the most celebrated private day journey on the French Riviera, and for good reason. In around seven hours, your group moves through three entirely different worlds – a medieval hilltop village, one of the world's smallest sovereign states, and one of its most glamorous squares.
Your driver picks you up from your hotel and heads east along the legendary Corniche roads, the same coastal cliffs that have appeared in countless films and whose views stop drivers in their tracks even after years of passing them.
Eze is the first stop – a stone village clinging to a cliff 429 metres above the Mediterranean, where the lanes are so narrow only foot traffic passes. The views from the top stretch on clear days all the way to Corsica. From there, your driver crosses the border into Monaco: the Rock, the Cathedral, the Palace Square with its daily changing of the guard at 11:55 AM. Then Monte Carlo – Casino Square, the Hôtel de Paris, the streets that become a Formula 1 circuit every May.
Hotel Pickup
Your driver meets you in the lobby at the agreed time.
Èze Village
A medieval village perched 429 metres above the sea. To enter it, expect a steep incline walk. At the very top, the Jardin Exotique offers panoramic views and costs – tickets can be purchased online in advance. The Fragonard perfumery offers a free factory tour with no booking required.
Monaco – The Rock
The ancient fortified headland where Monaco's old town sits. Visit the Cathedral of Our Lady Immaculate – where Grace Kelly is buried. The changing of the guard at the Palace takes place daily at 11:55 AM from the square. The Palace interior is open from April to mid-October and can be booked online in advance.
Monte Carlo
Visit the Casino Square, the Hôtel de Paris, and the sculpted gardens. Walk around the luxury stores or sit down for a coffee in one of the outdoor cafes. After Monte Carlo, the driver takes you through the Formula 1 circuit streets – the Hairpin, the tunnel, the chicane – as part of the return route.
Hotel Drop-off
Your driver returns you to your hotel at the end of the trip.
